New Beginnings

The last few days at the place where I work has not been the best days of my life. Yesterday and today there were around 45 people laid off. These cuts started at the top and went all the way to the bottom. I can only pray that the worst is over and the best is yet to come. It always amazes me how when things like this happen we tend to really turn to God for help and guidance. I know he has my back and will not give me more than I can carry.  Spring is here and it is a time for new beginnings and that means in all things not just nature.  May God Bless and Keep You!!

Proud Momma

My middle son had a baseball game yesterday, and being the proud Mother I am I have to let you know that hit a grand slam home run. He hit a ball that cleared a 375 foot fence. He is was very excited he made the comment that hitting that ball must be what a home run in the majors feels like. He tries to be very humble but this one got the best of him and thats ok too.

I hope that everyone has a great day. May God bless and keep you.

Going Shopping

Today I took my youngest 2 sons and a friend shopping. The middle son had a birthday this week and we needed to go shopping for his presents. It is always fun to go to the mall with a group of teenage boys, they were worrying about getting back home to the girlfriend more than shopping. We laughed at some of the things we found in the stores and tried to picture who we thought might wear it. My sons girlfriends birthday is Sunday so we looked for her gifts. It is the small things in life that really matter.

It's That Time of Year

I have a child that plays many sports. He attends a small 3A school so playing multiple sports is not unheard of. I watched a game tonight that could have given a pro game a run for their money. Both teams put it all on the field. There were 3 home runs, a catch that caused a another home run from happening. It is really sad that someone had to loose and that someone was our team, but I can tell you that I have never been more proud of our boys than I was today. They learned more about life today than they will ever know.  One of our boys made a play at second base and the runner ran into him and knocked him out cold. At that point every player on the field forgot about the game and started praying for the boy. The players for our team started running to his aid and it didn't matter who scored or if they lost there hats or gloves. At this point in the game I realized that these boys will be ok and will be able to handle just about anything that comes their way. The boy is ok and finished the game.

Time Flies

Today is my middle child's birthday. He is 17 today. It seems like he was that 4 year old little boy who could not wait to get on the football field. Now he is a junior in high school and is getting letters to play college football. His older brother drove in from college to help celebrate, the whole family was together. It is always good to have everyone home even if it is only for a few hours. May God bless and keep you.
